Spend a day at the Eden project, described as the Eighth Wonder of the World, to enjoy looking around the amazing Biomes, & maybe even to test your skills on the ice at the Christmas skating rink now open.
Take a bracing walk along one of the many coastal paths, stopping for lunch at Trevose Golf Club, offering breathtaking views.
Take a day to look around the quaint Cornish town of Padstow; visit the historic Prideaux Place & enjoy a Rick Steins Fish & Chip lunch.
Stroll along the cliff paths of Polzeath, where you can overlook this stunning bay whilst lunching at the Waterfront Restaurant.
Visit the City of Truro on Sunday, where, if desired, you can attend the morning service at the beautiful Truro Cathedral, followed by a trip on the King Harry ferry to the Roseland Peninsula, lunching at the famous Tresanton Hotel. Alternatively, you could return to Watergate Bay, to lunch at Jamie Olivers restaurant ‘15’.

There are many more attractions to be considered, including beautiful Gardens such as Heligan & Trebah; the spectacular City of Lights procession in Truro, held on the evening of Nov 18th, & the various Christmas Markets that are held in the City. If you wish to arrange alternative visits to those suggested, our Consierge sevice will be happy to discuss arrangements.
If you prefer not to drive yourself – chauffeured vehicles or taxis can be arranged for additional cost.

What a match last night! Murray into the quarter finals in an agonising match till 11pm ! Andrew Strauss and Family visit Retallack Resort and Spa, North Cornwall

Dear All,

We have been very lucky with a few beautifully sunny days. The Zap Cats at Watergate bay were fantastic on the weekend - if you made it down there, I hope you enjoyed watching it and managed to have a bite to eat at the beach bar!

Former England Cricket Captain 'Andrew Strauss' and his family stayed at Retallack Resort last week - He wrote in the visitors book
'Perfection, lovely resort, lovely hosts, loved the soft underfoot swimming pool!' With our fantastic cricket link with Cricketer Simon Hughes, we are looking to install a cricket net for all the budding players - Do let us know if you would enjoy this facility.

With Retallack Resort being a 5 star self catering holiday combined with this lovely sunny day - If you are staying with us this week, I hope you will enjoy a BBQ on your deck - Do pop into Ellerys or Peter Morris Butchers in St Columb for some local meat and vegetables - Dont forget the charcoal!

If you are staying with us at retallack resort, we hope you are enjoying your time and relaxing in self catering luxury! its all about the five star experience, if you need anything do call reception, the concierge desk will be only too happy to help you with ideas on where to eat or what beach to visit. We have maps on how to find all the local towns and bays - so please just ask.

There are spaces in the Spa tomorrow, so do call Danielle and she will be very pleased to help you choose from one of our fabulous treatments -Decleor or Thalgo.

A great day out for all the family this weekend is the Zap Cat racing at Watergate Bay on both Saturday and Sunday..why not book to have a delicious lunch at the beach cafe, a bowl of mussels or even a sunday roast! I'll be there - I havent missed it in 3 years! Its amazing to watch - very fast and a great spectators sport as it is so close to the beach.

Also, a new restaurants opened up in Newquay under neather the new Rocklands Development right on the water front - Pizza Express, Ive been to try it out and its great - perfect place to take the family and theres lots of parking nearby or ask concierge to book you a taxi.

5 star self Catering Holidays at Retallack Resort Near Padstow

We welcome many new families this weekend at Retallack Resort, being just 5 minutes from the Royal Cornwall Show in Wadebridge, many of our guests will be visting the fantastic event. My husband Jason and I visited yesterday, the sun was shinning and it was well worth a visit, we saw pony and trap classes, livestock being shown, you could buy anything from a Tractor to a Timber Frame House. They had a huge food section, my favourite was the delicious Roddas Clotted Cream and Strawberries of course!

If you are reading about Retallack Resort for the first time, do check out our late availability deals, theres something to suit everyone, come and stay, our resort has a collection of fantastic 5 star lodges and the king size beds are so comfy, you wont want to leave!

The Retallack Resort Kids Academy starts this Monday with Joe the Team leader creating lots of fun for all the little ones! The kids Club starts this week and goes on all through the summer until the end of October, so its worth booking your kids in early. Ask at Reception for more details.

Only 10 minutes from our self catering 5 star Retallack Resort is the highly aclaimed and well renowned Padstow, the home of Seafood Chef Rick Stein and his many eateries. Why not pick up fish and chips at his take away restaurant, walk around the harbour, take the ferry across to Rock and enjoy a lovely walk along Damer Bay,its one of our favourite white sandy beaches, dont miss the blue Tomatoe, a great cafe to enjoy a snack/cream tea or milkshake before heading back to Padstow to collect the car.

Retallack Resort is basking in the sunshine this morning! The Royal Cornwall show has begun today and continues until Sunday, a wonderful four days of family enterainment from the Human Cannon ball 'Dave the 'Bullet' Smith to Mat Coulter the Kangaroo Kid on his airborne quad bike!Marval at the RAF parachute display and all the animal showing and showjumping.
